Large storm

I noticed the sky darkening yesterday but was involved in a project and didn't give it much thought.  Suddenly there was the largest explosion that sounded like an atom bomb and the whole house shook.  Hannah went frantic and ran for cover, tail between her legs.  Then the clouds burst and more thunder and rain followed.  Hannah ended up squashed between the toilet and bathtub and stayed there for hours, even when it was finally all over.  My friend was out shopping at Costco and she said that the parking lot totally flooded and the water was over the hubcaps of the cars.  I'm glad we were home.  Praying our roof holds up for another year as it's getting up to it's time for a new one.

goodness what's going on out west.... lots of stuff happening...

it's just cold as the north pole here... it should let up by Sunday a bit....

Dont worry luv, Hannah is now my shadow, she is stuck to me like glue.  The rain continues to pound!

just read about the earthquake in Alaska and all the damage its done...golly...

you all are catching it on that side of the world too...

It's a big one and lots of damage to the roads.  We went throught 2 big ones in southern California and living under the threat of a big one here in Oregon long overdue.  The trouble is there is no fore warning.  It's a nasty surprise!
