I grew up with a mother who saved bacon grease in her old Crisco cans.  I keep a small glass container to fry eggs, potatoes, or anything that I want that zing.

Back in the old days we saved the grease too, but now it repulses me...I use PAM on nearly everything.

love me some bacon....

don't have it much cause of the cost these days...

but I do have a package in the fridge....bacon, lettuce and tomatoes with mayo on toast maybe the morning breakfast here...

cooking in the microwave takes most of the bacon grease out of the bacon but saving the oil for popcorn later today maybe the way...

not the best for your health but sure is for the taste...I say...

got the kind that you just put in the microwave and cover it with a paper towel and it doesn't mess up microwave too much...grease  drips in a tray...that can be poured in a grease pan....

My mum always saved bacon fat and used it when making a roast beef and Yorkshire pudding dinner.
