you just gave a good reason for why it is true it takes a village, boy.  individuals and good church folks could organize all the bake sales and bingo games and fund me facebook pages to try and help our veterans and others living on the street, most of them with mental problems that make them almost unemployable and it would not be a drop in the bucket.  but a concerned president, using the bully pulpit, can get such funding at the federal level, with the cost borne by millions and millions of taxpayers, that can actually have a positive effect on such serious problems.  get it?  socialism, as you clowns call it, is the cheapest, most efficient, most logical way to solve really big problems in our country- not private charities and bake sales.  Obama did this, go to the AMVET or American Legion or any other veteran groups website and confirm it, while Trump has not, has even cut some funding for some vets.
