This little guy flew around just like a hummingbird in the night...some kind of moth but more bird like when flying.

it seems that monarchs, pollinating bees, and many other of mother natures creatures are in a serious decline over the past 10+? years
the subplot for this decline is problematic
and sad for the consequence (bad) of human dependence on the support of mother natures creatures

possibly a combination of
climate change (global warming)
and more likely the modern use of accelerated agricultural/personal use of herbicides and pesticides

In my area people spray monthly for mosquitos. It makes me mad because it drifts my way and I go to the trouble of hand picking beetles from my flowers. I found 10 dead birds in my yard this summer....the birds eat the bugs they spray, eat them and then get sick. Shame. When I was the first house built on this end I had at least 2-30  big butterflies at a time...now if I am lucky...1-2 at at tme.

It's so sad that to kill the bad pest you end up killing the harmess living beauties of nature.
