3rd time must be a charm, right?

First rain barrel order never got shipped (the manufacturer was apparently out of stock and we weren't notified)...2nd rain barrel order, one of the barrels was damaged in shipping, so we got one...then kept getting delivery notifications for the other (we thought they were sending another)...turns out it was Fed Ex returning the damaged one to the company...so just got off the phone and had to make another order!  Yes, I did get a discount, but my bank is going to think I'm going hog wild with rain barrels I've ordered so many LOL!

When I finally get the project done, I'll post photos.  We did finish staining the porch, now I have to get my lighting changes done, get soaker hoses for the barrels, plant in the rain barrel planters, get more rock to surround them and cover the bottom of the deck skirting, and get a small bistro set for the porch.

I can move my milk box though, LOL.

did you know you have to raise the rain barrels up for them to work... so most people put them under landscape bricks... don't understand it but it works...

We have the one sitting on rocks, it drains fine.  The deluge we had one night filled the entire 50 gallon barrel!  It has two spigots and a hose connects easily to the lower one for watering.

You get it right in the end but I hate having to return large items.  We had to return a damaged chair last month.  The trouble was we got it all assembled before we spotted the fault.

Its freeing to get rid of boxes... I keep them just in case I want to return them... funny thing is the stores closed and it's been years since purchase... tonight I got rid of all those boxes in boxes...

Once a month we clean the corner of the shop where all the boxes end up.  It's the only way to stay ahead of them.
