Worried...no calls from my sister and still no idea about mom. :-(

That's horrible sunshine!  Didn't the nursing home leave word where they were taking residents?  But it could be cell service is out too.  Our son said the only reason some people could get word out in NC was because they were on military radio or emergency like hospital frequencies.

She called...had to get a cigarette lighter plug thing for the car to get the cell phone charged. Lots of water in the house but ground flood water. No water to flush toilets so they put pots outside to catch water to save. Still....no idea how mom is doing.
We had a deluge yesterday for a short time. Never in my life have I seen it rain that hard here and then I multiplied by 6 to see how hard she would ge getting pummeled with... 33.90 inches of rain!

That's awful for your sister, sun.  So much water damage in your sister's house.  I hope your Mom has been taken to a safe area and that you hear soon.  Thank goodness you're ok where you are right now.

No call yet about mom.  Nothing I can do but wait and worry. I hope she's not crying thinking she was abandoned.

Today we are getting bands of rain now and then but not bad. Only an inch as of now.

Twice I had to run to the basement...tornado warning....rotation spotted near us.

We got a touch of Florence and it rained practically all day but we're going back up to the  mid80s in the morning so just be safe Wherever You Are... weather is nothing to play with.

Nearly 3 inches of Florence rain and 3 inches of Gordon rain...I'm done for rain until next summer. This has to be our wettest summer ever. I can't even cut the lawn right, squishy from so much water.
