divided as some try to have all believe! Then we have this problem which is a major issue when you try to have a debate about an issue or any issue as far as issues go when you have people come to the table with a closed mind that is already made up!


So let me ask one question now!-------"WHAT HAS THE GOVERNMENT DONE FOR YOU THAT HAS MADE YOUR LIFE BETTER"? So what is your answer?

over the last 30 years our environment is noticeably cleaner because of stricter government regulations.   Air quality, water quality, regulations on exposures to hazardous materials, etc. have all gotten better.

Not even wvit can give a truthful answer, with him and those like him it's always the government that does it! If the left ever stops thinking in terms of it's always the government then they may develop some common sense.

1) repairing and maintaining the infrastructure of our cities and roads.

2)  having a police force and fire department at the ready in case of emergencies and to maintain law and order

3)  having a safety net for our senior citizens with Social Security

4)  Protecting our borders and defending our sovereignty.

Think about it Bodd how does the government do those things that you mention? The government does not have the means to do anything!

blammey, if it weren't for RCRA and SARAH laws and regulations that were passed by by Congress in the 70's private industry would still be polluting our lands and waters.    And without the clean air regulations that we passed with the Clean Air Act our air private industry would still be pumping pollution into the atmosphere.

how does government do these things?   our elected representatives pass tax laws that fund the hiring of people and companies who oversee the implementation of the laws, acts, regulations, etc. that your elected representatives pass.
