For those of you who watch Larry King

(which I don't) it's been announced that Piers Morgan will be taking his place when Larry retires at the end of the year.
 
Piers is one of those stuck-up Englishmen (a sort of poor man's Simon Cowell) who reminds me why I left to come here all those years ago.  He's a Judge on "America's Got Talent" that often buzzes a performer before they've had a chance to strut their stuff and who gets into minor feuds with Howie Mandel.   He's had a pretty colorful past and was fired from his job as Editor of the Daily Mirror in 2004 and in 2008 he was a winner of "Celebrity Apprentice".   I was surprised by the choice to replace Larry King.
