Hannah made friends with this gorgeous creature.  His name is Nero and he is part wolf and part Malamute.  He actually stands on his hind legs and does a little dance once he gets to know you and sees you coming.  We walked every day the big loop around the Park and he was always ready to greet us.  I could have taken him home - Hannah was in love!

Such a handsome dog.

There was a malamute up for grabs through our boarder, but it needed a strong alpha and we just don't have time to dedicate to a dog that's 180 lbs.  The owner had to give it up because she is battling terminal cancer and wanted to ensure the dog would get a good home before she was gone and who would allow her to come visit him regularly.

I am glad you and family are home safe and sound.  Stay cool, looks like a scorcher on the way this week.

Thanks takn, it will be up in the 90's here and coming home is tiring.  All the cleaning out of the motorhome and the piled up laundry, not to mention the overgrown garden which I tackled over the weekend.  I also came back with allergies - itchy eyes and constant sneezing.  It was so breezy up in the Cascades.  Also still have the shingles but fading fast now.  I hit the Claritin last night.

That is a nice looking dog.. .looks like a collie mixed with German Shepard. . Too much hair for me but real dog lovers wouldn't mine...

Nero's 'mom and dad' are full timers in a giant fifth wheel, so imagine the hair in there!
