Our community sale was today and it was supposed to be rained out...held off until 3 pm and we are being pummeled with heavy rain mixed with hail now and then as I type. Darn near sold everything I had. Then when the sale was over, a Purple Heart truck came along and picked up the left overs to donate to veterans.

People showing flooding everywhere in the area, cars under water, half way up some homes..so glad we are way high.

97....and I can't move... Suppose to rain tonight.. .Won't believe it til I see it... This is so hard ...too hard for me...

I know one thing for sure... I'm leaving here in April from now on... Never May and or June... Lesson taught and learned...

The way I feel today... Whew!

 I love yard and garage sales and hope you made a good profit, sun.  You're really having bad weather back there and lucky it held off till afternoon.  We're in the high 70's to low 80's here and its very pleasant.  Makes a nice change.

Yes...it was very successful.  I was planning on selling some old photo frames for a dollar...then I thought hey...put some photos of my garden flowers and birds in there and then sell for $5.00.  Sold 15 framed photos.  after 3 hours I marked a ton of stuff to 25-50 cents and it went like hot cakes. I sold suitcases for a dollar. Amazing how it adds up.

That was a great idea putting your pics in frames and selling them.  You could probably have got more for them.

Probably not emily as they were trying to get that price cheaper. Everyone wants something for nothing  these days.

It's unfortunate that people seem to think that if you're having a garage sale, you'd be willing to just give stuff away.  At one of our community sales one year, someone actually said, "well, aren't you trying to get rid of it"?  To which I answered, "if I was doing that, I would have donated it to Goodwill and taken the massive tax credit I can get for charity"...
