Comes to my mind this morning

...

His accomplishments...his failures...

On 24 July he will be sentenced by the courts that convicted him of rape...

Years of fooling people with a fork tongue...

The devil does that and he too will be sentenced on his day of judgement...

Prisoned for 1000 years while Jesus cleans the earth of all the evil he has done...

Then he will be destroyed... all his influences gone in a puff of smoke...


May God have mercy on his everlasting life..

According to the preacher who lied his way through my father-in-law's funeral service...no.  He claimed Pops told him on his "deathbed" that he found his way back to God and that all of us should too, and the preacher was just the guy to help us...so he turned Pop's service into a recruitment for new church members, which really upset my husband, because he spent all of 5 minutes talking about Pops, and more than an hour in the blazing sun, preaching.  My mother-in-law was heartbroken and oblivious to it all.

That said, Those who have faith realize that God forgives all, but God also expects accountability and has consequences, both while we're alive (The Bible says we must adhere to and accept the laws of man), and after our souls rise up to meet him.
