Christianity is based on the word of men, not spirits in the sky.  There's not one word in the bible put there by a god or anything like a god. Christians have found a way to suspend obvious reality in order to accept the unacceptable.  Been there, done that, but then I grew up and lost interest in childish fairy tales.. I guess for many,  Santa Claus was all the loss they could take.
