Throughout history, California has experienced many droughts,
such as 1841, 1864, 1924, 1928–1935, 1947–1950, 1959–1960, 1976–1977, 2006–2010, and 2012–2017.[1]
California has periods of floods, recorded back to the Los Angeles flood of 1825. Historically the worst flood in California was December 1861 to January 1862.
As you can see the periods of drought and floods in CA go way, way back!
