 you don't want to suppress it....

You want to extract...

 that would be the reason for the laxative it will extract fluids out of your body...

 you want to take vitamin C in the form of orange juice to replenish...

The ibuprofen will just control the fever or inflammation...

The Campbell's chicken noodle soup will just keep you nourished until you're feeling better and most of that would be protein...

 the shot of whiskey and I wouldn't even say that much tablespoon of whiskey will kill all the germs within...

It's an old school remedy that works...
