What can be done to prevent these crazed people from getting

inside our schools and murdering school children. They say for every problem there is a solution, so when will the problem become serious enough for a solution. Lets put gun control and gun bans on the back page for the time being. Is there any way to stop them from gaining access to get to the children?

Yes. There are ways.

Lock them down. Nobody allowed in without a proper student/teacher ID. Parents/visitors held in a secure area and students are brought to them.

From the outside yes. On the inside you need zero tolerance federal rules re student/school employee violence or threats of violence during class or on social media.

Interesting question since the price of security is the loss of freedoms.

Schools may be a good place to teach that reality.

Right you are local, it's a trade off really when it comes to their security so it becomes a question of how much are we willing to trade for their security!

A good starting point is when a student or anyone involved in the school system shows signs of a mental condition or hostilities, or becoming withdrawn then that person should be checked thoroughly, as in the case of Nickolas Cruz he said he might kill some people, that should of been enough right there!

wouldn't that mean checking out probably half the middle and high schoolers?   young people are notorious for becoming withdrawn, moody, hostile, etc.
