“I’m here because my daughter has no voice,” said Andrew Pollack, the father ofa student who was among the 17 people killed at a Florida high school onValentine’s Day.


“We need our children safe.” Pollack’s comments were among themost visceral during an extraordinarily emotional “listening session”over guns and schools hosted by PresidentTrump at the White House.


The attendees, who included shootingsurvivors and parents, took turns making points on school safety that wereoften at odds with each other. Trump offered proposals of his own, including possibly arming teachers, stronger backgroundchecks for gun buyers and perhaps reviving “mental institutions.”


On socialmedia, his notes became a big talking point.








so...how many more dead innocent citizens have to be shot before we get  real changes in gun laws?

It's an unfortunate truth that we may never be able to control the hearts and minds of those hell-bent on destruction.

It's also an unfortunate truth that the media continues to use the deaths of our children as political pawns for a singular agenda.  If politicians and society cared, they would stop sugar coating that we've allowed an over-medicated, dangerous faction of society, to roam freely, based upon their "rights".  What about the rights of safety for the public at large?
