Isn't it great that you can make all kinds of variations of this basic scone recipe. These sound yummy.  Did you know they freeze very well too if you want to make a big batch and always have some on hand.

The original recipe in the UK was made with tiny currants, not even plump raisins.  The variations are so much better and creative.
