We saw that this Netflix movie was nominated for a Golden Globe so we watched it last night.  Although it was well done I found it really depressing.  Took place in the Mississippi delta during and after WW2 era.    The struggles of the white farm owners and the awful treatment of the black sharecroppers was hard to watch.  It didn't win a Globe.

You should watch Grapes of Wrath...also depressing like that.

We are watching Bloodline on netflix...awesome. First two episodes a tad slow but it gets really  really good.

I'll have to check that one out.  We watched the 2 series, about 20+ episodes of The Crown and enjoyed it.

We read Grapes of Wrath as an assigned book in junior high.

The film is exceptional.  I think they consider it a national treasure film.  And Spielberg wants to do a remake, but it's being held up legally...good...no need to change a thing.

Yep...excellent movie/book. I would not want to change a thing in that movie.
