Time wonders how Obama lost his mojo


Simple, he never had any that wasn't a fig newton of the voters magnification.



Time calls Barack Obama “Mr. Unpopular” in its headline today, and reports on the steep decline in support for Obama over the course of his nineteen-month administration.  They describe his “overreach” on policy, but Michael Sherer starts off closer to the truth in the beginning of his analysis:

Obama has become unpopular because voters are angry over the bait-and-switch that Democrats used to get him elected, with the help of a cheerleading media.  After 19 months, the nation knows Obama a lot better than they did in 2008, and they see an inexperienced and incompetent executive who has a dedication to an agenda of arrogance and top-down control. 

Had the media done its job in 2007 and 2008, this would have been no surprise — and Obama wouldn’t be President, either.

I don't think so.  We knew all about Obama's radical views and lack of experience.  I knew exactly what I was getting.  There's no excuse for not knowing what Obama was going to do.  He told us.  Apparently America wasn't listening.  They concocted their own interpretation of what he meant by "change."

The key to Obama is what the head of the Young Communist student group at Occidental College has said about him. Namely that Obama is a "Marxist ideologue".

He hasn't changed - just hidden it to advance in politics.

One has to wonder why blacks remain loyal to the democrat party.  After 50 years of no improvement in their economic standing, why do they keep hitching their wagon to that party?  I think 50 years is a sufficient time period to judge performance.  It's time to give something else a try.

When you see poverty pimps like Al Sharpton become apoplectic at the possibility of losing his constituency, you know you are doing something right.

I disagree. he ran against Hillary Clinton as a far left candidate. He distanced himself from what he called, "The policy of the past", and ran as a very far left candidate. This is not a Bait & Switch. If people didn't realize who he was, it was not something they could not have had they wanted to see past the "Hope & Change" rhetoric.
