Biden Does NOT need a BILL to close the border
He only needs a PEN. Thats all he needed to open it.
Thats all he needed to close it. Thats all Trump needed.
Maybe this is just Proof Trump is better than Biden.

How the US can continue to support Saudi Arabia, is beyond me.  How anyone can support Muslim rule, when their only response to civil dischord is killing off their own people, is madness.

I read a theory on that today that believes that the Saudis could back the troops from Israel to do what they aren't able to do.

Funny what oil money can buy.

The battle in Yemen is between the Saudis and the Iranians plus their allied Yemeni factions!

Iran seeks to make Yemen a satellite state like Syria and Lebanon!

This is nothing more than the ages old war between Shia and Sunni Muslims!

The one thing going for the Saudis is they are far less oppressive than the Iranians!

The Saudis have been expanding freedoms unlike the Iranians!

However, the differences between the two countries is huge, with Iran being astronomically more progressive. Putting them in the same category, is only a sign of laziness and lack of knowledge about the issue

Iran has authentic grass-roots movements that attempt to improve women's rights. Saudi's "progress" is mostly in boutique top-down moves by the authorities, under pressure by their western allies

The only female Fields Medal winner in the world is a mathematician born, raised and educated in Iran for most of her life (Maryam Mirzakhani). The first muslim woman to win a Nobel prize was also a woman from Iran who worked there as a lawyer (Shirin Ebadi). Many top females scientists and engineers and artists, have worked and flourished under the Islamic republic. Not by the governments support, but despite the hinderances.  Iran's vice president is a woman Masoumeh Ebtekar. During Ahamdinejad's period, one of the most conservative periods in Iran's history, Marzieh Vahid-Dastjerdi, was elected as a minister (granted this one, was a boutique move IMO).  Female Saudi scientists, engineers, politicians don't really make it up the ladder, not because they are not talented, because they don't get the opportunities anywhere near what the Iranians do. They are less educated, less empowered, and far more hindered. Granted, Iran's population is more educated, regardless of their gender, but the situation for women is far better for Iranians.

Iran has very prominent women artists, currently active in Iran, and addressing women's rights. Rakhshan Bani-E'temad , Manijeh Hekmat, and Tahmineh Milani are very successful film directors. They have won numerous awards inside and outside Iran, and have repeatedly touched on women's struggles and rights in their movies. Newsha Tavakolian, is a top photographer with international acclaim with fantastic perspectives on women. Farideh Lashai's paintings are in huge demand after her passing, just as an example of successful women artists. Many other painters are super successful, and travel around the globe showing their work and are being collected by famous museums.  Forough Farrokhzad's poems, of immense historical and intellectual significance and with many excerpts alluding to woman's love and sexuality are published and endorsed. Not just by people, but by religious and powerful people too. You cannot point out 10 female Saudi women of the same prominence, no chance.
