Poll: Biden Leads Trump by 11 Points in Prospective 2020 Race

Former Vice President Joe Biden leads President Donald Trump by 11 points in a 2020 hypothetical head-to-head presidential match-up, according to the latest Politico/Morning Consult poll.

Biden tallies 46 percent to Trump's 35 percent, according to the survey. However, Biden isn't as strong as the "Generic Democrat" against Trump in 2020 — the president trails by 14 points in that one, according to Politico.

Other results from the poll, according to Politico:

Independents back Biden over Trump, 41 percent to 26 percent.
Trump leads Biden on uneducated white voters, 41 percent to 37 percent.
Biden leads Trump in the Midwest by 9 points (45 percent to 36 percent).
Biden and Trump are virtually tied with white voters, 41 percent to 40 percent.
The Politico/Morning Consult survey mirrors a similar poll taken last week, also showing Biden with a 9-point lead over Trump in a hypothetical matchup.

The Politico/Morning Consult poll was conducted Nov. 9-11, surveying 1,993 registered voters. The margin of sampling error is plus or minus 2 percentage points.
