The fact that the shooter is black and from The Sudan is irrelevant. What is really relevant is the fact that this latest mass shooting is yet another example of this country's epidemic gun violence.

Yes, an armed civilian held the shooter at bay until first responders arrived at the crime scene. No. a "good guy with a gun" neither stopped nor prevented a mass shooting, as you're implying here.

I don't believe the media reported that an armed individual stopped the maladjusted gun owner.

I believe the stories indicate the gunman pistol whipped the usher, ended up shooting himself and dropping his gun in the process and then the unarmed usher retrieved the gunman's weapon.

A mass shooting took place. A mass murder didn't, but it could have easily happened too without the intervention of a good guy with a gun.
