There was actually a briskness in the morning air today and the hubby is lounging on the couch waiting for the dew to stop rising so he can mow the few patches of long green we still have left...

I will still be out watering and I'm livid as I found a mole has uprooted and killed one of my new golden shrubs out near the road...grrrrrrrrr...

The cooler weather also means it's time to start planting again.  I have 20 trees coming from the Arbor Day foundation.  This is the first year I've had a place to plant them all...every other year, when I send in my donation, I just ask them to donate mine to deforested areas...

Just got in from mowing the lawn front and back and receding some spots.

Cut the bee balms down....

the rose of Sharon leaves are turning yellow... half the flowers are gone so now it's just a matter of  getting geared up for Memphis ....

another chore

hopefully Memphis temperatures won't be as low as they are here in Ohio

they probably will be in the 40s and 50s but like I said 50 is my favorite temperature . that's one of the reasons why I chose Memphis....

So let it snow...lol

Two more days in the 90's and then after Wednesday it starts to cool down.  I can hardly wait.

I am trying to figure out now whether this is a true hibiscus or a rose of sharon...
It is so tall and full of blooms, whereas the true hibiscus the hubby bought me for Mother's day has fewer, much larger blooms.
