Biden Does NOT need a BILL to close the border
He only needs a PEN. Thats all he needed to open it.

Like a rock star rehashing his greatest hits, President Trump wowed fans at a rally in Phoenix, Arizona.

If the campaign-style event at the Phoenix Convention Center Tuesday night was like a rock concert, the climax of the production came when Trump threatened to shut down the government if Congress failed to fund the wall on America’s southern border.

Politicking like a rock star

Trump was welcomed by an electrically charged atmosphere containing some of his closest supporters as he took the stage to Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA.” After enduring hostile commentary from an ultra-critical mainstream media for the last week in the aftermath of Charlottesville, the president was anxious to strike back by doubling down on his campaign promises of enforcing immigration and promising law and order.

Trump took the offensive straight to Democrats, warning liberals that if they fail to include funding for the border wall in next fiscal year’s spending bill, that the White House would respond in kind. Trump was clear:

The obstructionist Democrats would like us not to do it, but believe me, if we have to close down our government, we’re building that wall.
Indeed, Democrats have stood in the way of America’s national security ever since they decided to resist all of Trump’s domestic and foreign policy measures. From promising illegal immigrants immunity from prosecution and deportation in over 300 sanctuary cities across the country, to activist judges inventing unconstitutional injunctions to stop the travel ban executive order, the Democratic Party has done real, lasting damage to America’s safety.

A matter of public safety
Trump has no qualms with pointing the finger squarely at Democrats for their negligence and the politicization of America’s public safety. He told his constituents:

Let me be very clear to Democrats in Congress who oppose a border wall and stand in the way of border security. You are putting all of America’s safety at risk.
Responding to the president’s “Enhancing Public Safety in the Interior of the United States” executive order, the Department of Homeland Security and other law enforcement agencies are working hard to “professionally and humanely” prosecute dangerous illegal aliens who, until recently, have served federal prison terms for violent crimes without fearing the subsequent risk of deportation.

Still, Trump realizes that these reforms will not be enough to put a stop to the violence that accompanies the influx of immigrants who breach America’s southern border every day with impunity.

Trump told a captivated audience that he has met with numerous families that have lost loved ones to violence from illegal aliens. The president made a pledge to these families, promising them that “the deaths of their loved ones will not have been in vain.”

The House of Representatives has already approved a bill that will allow engineers to begin work on the massive infrastructure project, setting aside $1.6 billion of the projected $21.6 billion required to erect the security barrier in 3.5 years.

But even this initial funding may have trouble surviving House-Senate negotiations. It is this fear, and the uncertainty which accompanies disputes over paying for the entire wall, that has compelled the president to issue his chilling warning.

A government should be tasked with very few mandates. Before any generous social welfare programs are passed, before health care and pension plans and trade tariffs are considered by lawmakers, ensuring public safety should be at the forefront of any politician’s priorities.

Understanding this, Trump made it clear: maintaining the security of our nation is a top priority, and he is willing to shut down the government if necessary to ensure public safety. On this issue, there is no negotiating with Trump.
