I had my first pink rain lily bloom today...it's wet from the sprinklers...not rain. :-)

Purple balloon flower and yellow cone daisy.

They all look so fresh and lovely.  Even though we have sprinklers and also hose daily where the sprinklers don't catch I'm struggling to keep the flowers going in this terrible heat with no rain.  The roses come out and start to drop immediately and the flowers don't last as long.  Oregon used to be known for how green it was and I went out today to the next town through the country and couldn't believe all the dried up fields of brown and yellow.

This is part of my garden and you can see the grass is so brown in patches no matter what.  This is the best part too.

Emily...I water my plants with a hose...the sprinkler just doesn't cut it.
