Let's be absolutely clear, our laws protect the right to build a house of worship whether it's a mosque, a church, or a synagogue. And preventing Muslims or any other group from practicing their faith is unconstitutional and un-American.

I don't care what the victims think...


I just heard on NPR at noon a rep from thew Mosque bldg committee say, there is no stopping the building of the mosque.

The only thing anyone is protesting is the location chosen as it is an insult to the victims of 9/11!

by the way, on this non issue, if muslim is really a peaceful religion,
why won't they be the peace keepers, and show respect to the families of those they murdered,
and put a hate hotel up elsewhere?

no on is denying the right to practice,
it is however odd that they won't to practice on top of the graves of the people they murdered.

if anything, they did have nothing to do with, nor did they promote the murders of so many people,
why are they putting up such a fight to put a hate hotel up on the graves of those they murdered.
if they were truley sorry about what happened, it would seem they would want to accomadate the familes of those they murdered, and just back off.

but then again, ted kennedy wanted to have a life size statue on top of Mary Jo's grave.

No one has a right to stop the bulding of a house of worship due to religious bigotry.

The Grrek Orthodox  church can be rebuilt at any time. The owners of the Greek church had an issue with the $20M offered by the Port Authority to help with the rebuilding. Work on the Greek church can proceed at any time the Greek church chooses.

BTW, the Islamic center is being built with private funding.

No one is saying that Muslims don't have the right to worship as they choose. That has NEVER been the issue. The ISSUE is that the Muslims behind this mosque are not being sensitive to the feelings of the surviving victims, and the families of the dead victims of 9/11 - who do NOT support building this mosque 2 blocks from Ground Zero.

Go on and keep twisting in the wind, dallas, just like you always do.
