Biden Does NOT need a BILL to close the border
He only needs a PEN. Thats all he needed to open it.
Thats all he needed to close it. Thats all Trump needed.
Maybe this is just Proof Trump is better than Biden.

Gen. Jack Keane: Trump 'Put America Back on World Stage' With Trip
Saturday, May 27, 2017 07:33 PM
By: Todd Beamon

President Donald Trump's nine-day trip abroad "put America back on the world stage," retired Army Gen. Jack Keane said Saturday.

"From a strategic perspective," Keane told "The Larry Kudlow Show" on Cumulus Media, Trump was "exercising global leadership once again, promoting stability and security where the economic prosperity will be the byproduct."

President Trump returned Saturday after touring Saudi Arabia, Israel, Italy and Belgium. He declared the trip a "home run" in a speech to the U.S. military at the Sigonella Naval Air Station in Sicily.

"Our travels took us to some of the holiest sites in the three Abrahamic religions and to gatherings of both America’s oldest and newest friends," Trump said.

"We traveled the world to strengthen long-standing alliances and to form a new partnership among nations devoted to the task of eradicating the terrorism that plagues our planet."

Keane, 74, a retired four-star general who now chairs the Institute for the Study of War, specifically pointed to President Trump's "straight" talk to Mideast leaders in Saudi Arabia earlier this week.

"He's done something that no one else has done: If you’re going to deal with these major threats in the Middle East, then you've got to form an alliance.

"There was President Trump with 55 Arab, Muslim and North African leaders in attendance, appealing to them to come together in an alliance to stand up and counter the Iranian strategic threat.

"He identified it as the No. 1 threat in the region," Keane said. "It is a tremendous step in the right direction."

Regarding radical Islam, he said that Trump called on the leaders to drive terrorists out of safe havens in their countries, stop financial such activity and "undermine this ideology."

"You and your leaders have to do that," Keane said the president told the leaders. "You have to give them an alternative to the choices they're making in radicalizing themselves – and we cannot do that for you.

"That is something that you must do yourselves.

"No American president has ever talked that straight to that part of the world," he told Kudlow.

Keane said that his intelligence sources told him that the response to President Trump's message was "overwhelmingly positive."

"They are enthused that American leadership is taking such a strong stand on their behalf and is willing to stand up with them as partners against the two major threats that they have: the Iranians and radical Islamists."

To list some of the damage Trump has done:

- Told the world that we stand with authoritarian governments
and no longer care about human rights.

- Told the puritanical, Al Qaeda-supporting Sunni Muslim world
that Iran - i.e. the Shia Muslims - are implacable enemies of America
- thus taking a side in a centuries-old feud
and increasing the possibility of more war in the Middle East.

In doing so he
- Skipped an opportunity to speak directly to and congratulate the young people of Iran
who just days before had rejected an ultra-conservative anti-Western candidate -
he need not have even mentioned the winner, the incumbent Rouhani.
Instead he effectively declared all of the Iranian people to be enemies of the world
[and that's how it was heard in Iran - thus giving anti-Western conservatives a big boost.]
THAT was not smart.

- Insulted and lied to the faces of NATO leaders
- who are NOT failing to pay their fair share of NATO costs
and who are already increasing their defense spending - since before DJ Trump showed up.

- Left NATO and Europe in a position of not knowing if America still has their back.

More damage will surface as the dust settles
and the impact of this incompetent nitwit's actions becomes clear.

"President Trump on Thursday punctured any illusions
that he was on a fence-mending tour of Europe,
declining to explicitly endorse NATO's mutual defense pledge
and lashing out at fellow members for what he called
their 'chronic underpayments' to the alliance.

On a tense day when Mr. Trump brought the 'America first' themes
of his presidential campaign to the very heart of Europe,
he left European leaders visibly unsettled,
with some openly lamenting divisions with the United States
on trade, climate and the best way to confront Russia.

The discord was palpable even in body language.

When the leaders lined up to pose for the traditional photograph at NATO headquarters,
Mr. Trump appeared to push aside the Montenegrin prime minister, Dusko Markovic,
to get to his assigned place in the front.

What looked like a relatively successful trip turned into a disaster.

Two days ago, you wouldn't have been wrong to declare Trump's overseas trip a relative success.

But after yesterday -

the "push aside,"
critical comments about Germany,
no firm Article 5 embrace by Trump,

and no formal position on Russia sanctions (!!!)

— the trip became a disaster.

As former Obama ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul observed,
"In Saudi Arabia, Trump promised no lectures.
But at NATO, he lectured our allies at length."
