Daughter is arriving.  Her friend who moved to Oregon is picking her up from PDX and coming for a visit too.  They are visiting the Tulip Festival and it is pouring with rain.  What's new?  Tomorrow we are getting away for an overnight while the girls stay with Hannah.  Going to a bed and breakfast in the forest with hiking trails and lots of wildlife.  Only thing is on the news last night they reported on the area and how the constant rain had damaged the trails which were under repair and very muddy!  Oh well - it's supposed to stop some time tomorrow.

I've been cleaning, washing and baking, orange almond pound cake, blueberry scones and chicken pot pie!

If I could jump through the screen of my cell phone I'd grab  h l5 of those blueberries and run like I stole something that looks so good.

Just be safe out in the forest.  With all this rain, the trees are very unstable and landslides are a serious threat.

Enjoy your time though.  I am just hoping for some dry weather to keep moving plants and clearing land.  LOL

It's true, today was beautiful, sunny, no rain and we started our second childhood and went to the Portland Zoo.  Had so much fun.

I would love to go to the tulip festival...wow...so colorful I bet.

the Skagit Valley Tulip festival is world renowned.  We've only made it a couple times in 25 years, mostly because traffic is horrendous.
