It is also Barbie's birthday. On this day 1959. I  was a collector but sold 80 % of them before downsizing to this house.

I've got some old Barbie's in the attic with Ken
but the really old ones... one i know i gave to a friend in childhood and not sure what happened with the others. Still have my Pebbles and Bam Bam.

Some of my favorites.... I sold the whole unopened Holiday Barbies in 2014. I had so many.

I had so many Coca Cola Barbies...I was collecting the alleged 6 piece "fashion classics" series, but they never got around to completing it...I was very disappointed as I had the 3 that were released and wrote to them several times asking when the others were coming, but it just never happened.  At one time, before I started selling them all, I probably had 25 or more Coca Cola Barbies in one form or another.

I finally gave all the rest of the Coca Cola girls to a guy at work, to give to his wife for Christmas...he had just gone through major surgery and missed like 4 months of work and was trying to find just one to add to her collection...I told him, I have a whole box full you can have...it made his day and I didn't mind getting rid of the box of them, it was the right thing to do.

The Elvis 'Barbie' type dolls are really neat.  I never remember seeing those.  Someone told me there were over 6,000 different of Barbies over the years.  I remember knitting Barbie clothes for my daughter's dolls and you could make a skirt in ten minutes.  I may still have the patterns.

It is fun when you can display them but I am not able to here unless it's in the basement and that's not fun.
