There is free speech and there is disruption.  A meeting of an elected official is a place for not discussion, not for disruption.

YOU didn't feel that way back in 2009 and 2010.
WHY do you feel that way now?
Is it that pesky Double Standard again?

Are we Democrats just supposed to sit at home and "TAKE" it up the ass from Frump?
I don't think that is gonna work for us.

The people took it to the political elite in the polls the last several years and put the republicans in charge.

Radical Democrats responded by disrupting town hall meetings.

gee duke...I don't recall your position in 2009-2010, when the Tea Party was using the same tactics, that your had the same position.

could be you're just a hypocrite who puts Party over Country.

I get to attend a number of these events.  The congressional staff usually makes things very controlled.  They pre-screen constituent questions and never seem to actually address any relevant questions.

Will ‘Do Your Job!’ Get the Job Done?

By now you’ve probably seen the videos: “Do your job!” chants the crowd, as abeleaguered lawmaker grits those teeth.

Congress is in recess this week, and inbig cities and rural hamlets alike, citizens are showing up at town halls to voice theirdispleasure — and sometimes to protest the protesters.

But will these“so-called angry crowds,” as President Trump referred to them in a tweet, amount to a meaningful political movement?

The TEA Party did not use those tactics, nor did I, jw.  There were peaceful protests and people showed up to question politicians, but you know that.

Some say you are a dishonest partisan hack.  I believe them.

poor duke...I understand the combination of your partisanship and advancing dementia cause you to forget how the Tea Party came onto the scene.

It was the summer of 2009...only 8 years ago.

5 Memorable Moments When Town Hall Meetings Turned To Rage

As members of Congress retreated to their home states and districts during the 2009 August recess, the growing Tea Party movement and anger over the pending health care bill led protesters across the country to confront their elected representatives at town hall meetings.

This is reality.  It happened.  It is a fact.  Please keep your delusions or intellectual dishonesty to yourself.

The really sad thing you fail to recognize is that Republican congressmen/congresswomen don't like town hall meetings because citizens are their constituents, corporations are.

LOL - Dukie's SELECTIVE memory...\

http://www.npr.org/sections/itsallpolitics/2013/08/07/209919206/5-memorable-moments-when-town-hall-meetings-turned-to-rage

Demonstrations at some of these gatherings led to fistfights, arrests and even hospitalizations.
News networks and protesters with camcorders and cellphones captured the often unruly
gatherings as disgruntled citizens took the opportunity to execute — often loudly — their right
to free speech.

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/dc/tea-party-town-hall-strategy-rattle-them-stand-up-and-shout

As Think Progress first reported, one tea-party friendly group has disseminated a strategy memo
for other anti-reform and anti-government groups, outlining what they consider best-practices for
protesters who plan to enter and disrupt town hall events hosted by members of Congress over
the August recess--practices that, according to the memo, "could be useful to activists in just
about any district where their Congressperson has supported the socialist agenda of the Democrat
leadership in Washington."

Hmmmm, this part looks awful familiar....

tea partiers should "pack the hall... spread out" to make their numbers seem more significant, and
to "rock-the-boat early in the Rep's presentation...to yell out and challenge the Rep's statements
early.... to rattle him, get him off his prepared script and agenda...stand up and shout and sit right
back down."

I think we got that Training Manual from you TEA Partiers, Sine!

Let the radical extremists go ahead and make fools of themselves.  They are not changing the hearts and minds of the American people.  They are exposing their own radicalism.

jw and davik support repression of free speech.  There is no problem with asking questions, but there is a problem with disrupting.

So, cut the bullshit with tpm and other alt-left sites.  We all know the truth, and you two aren't telling it.
