Yes, we've spent a lot of time exploring the Olympic National Park area.  The Hoh is spectacular, and so peaceful. We hiked some of the lake trail and a lot of the river trail, did the visitor center, but because our kids were younger, we'd didn't get to explore it all.  We've always wanted to have the time to go back on our own, it's not that far away, but over the years we've tried to visit as many places across the state as we can. 
We spent one entire summer doing weekend trips to as many capes, lighthouses, and forts as we could afford to.  We camped inside and just outside the Olympic national park many times and my husband used to do an annual fishing excursion out of Neah bay.The only place we didn't make it to was Hurricane Ridge, but our oldest boy vowed he would make it back there, and it became one of his favorite hiking spots, even proposed to his wife up there.
