Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson began calling legislators Tuesday, hours after the Royal Oak City Commission voted 4-3 to allow people to carry guns openly at the Ford Arts, Beats & Eats festival over Labor Day weekend.

Patterson is upset at Michigan Open Carry activists for pressing their case over the AB&E festival, a move that he and festival supporters say could harm the event and its 13 charities if some people stay away.
 

 

"We agree they have the right to open carry, but leave the festival alone," he said. "If they want to carry guns so badly, they should join the Army and go over to Afghanistan. They have a lot of big guns over there."

no kidding....imagine somebody so stupid they think the more guns there are, the safer everyone is...imagine letting people come and go into courtrooms with guns, or into classrooms in high school or college, or into congress or press conferences with politicians....just how stupid are these gun nuts?
