Editor’s Note: The Washington Post on Nov. 24 published a story on the work of four sets of researchers who have examined what they say are Russian propaganda efforts to undermine American democracy and interests. One of them was PropOrNot, a group that insists on public anonymity, which issued a report identifying more than 200 websites that, in its view, wittingly or unwittingly published or echoed Russian propaganda. A number of those sites have objected to being included on PropOrNot’s list, and some of the sites, as well as others not on the list, have publicly challenged the group’s methodology and conclusions. The Post, which did not name any of the sites, does not itself vouch for the validity of PropOrNot’s findings regarding any individual media outlet, nor did the article purport to do so. Since publication of The Post’s story, PropOrNot has removed some sites from its list.

WOPO says it can't vouch for the validity of PropOrNot's findings, but the problem is, it ran a story citing PropOrNot as something we should be paying attention to!   Not until the real news media called the WOPO out did it decide to add the editor's note.

CNN, one of the media outfits that regularly complains about “fake news,” ran a fake news story of its own when it claimed that Russia was closing an Anglo-American school in Moscow as retaliation for President Obama’s sanctions.
“Russian authorities ordered the closure of the Anglo-American School of Moscow, a US official briefed on the matter said. The order from the Russian government closes the school, which serves children of US, British and Canadian embassy personnel, to US and foreign nationals,” reported CNN.

Bullchit.  The truth:

Dear Parents,

I am sure that by now you will all have heard and seen reports coming through the media stating that the Russian authorities have closed the Anglo American School, Moscow campus.  Senior Russian officials have refuted this story.

The school is planning to open as scheduled following the New Year break.
Please be assured that our primary concern remains the welfare and education of our students.
We will keep you updated through e-mails, postings on our website and if it is urgent through SMS.

Editor’s Note: An earlier version of this story incorrectly said that Russian hackers had penetrated the U.S. electric grid. Authorities say there is no indication of that so far. The computer at Burlington Electric that was hacked was not attached to the grid.

This was all over our news for a bit and it drove Seattlites into a lather...the outrage and outbursts were astounding and now, they discover...it was all fake...and our local news didn't apologize for the "mistake", they just made all the stories disappear...hmmmmmmm

Almost forgot this one:

CNN and BuzzFeed reported on a secret dossier which the outlets claimed, contained proof that Trump was groomed and supported by Russian intelligence for at least five years and that he was target of potential blackmail by the Kremlin, among other things, like golden showers, etc.

The truth:

Bob Woodward said on Fox News Sunday about the so-called Russia dossier on Donald Trump is a “garbage document.”   For good measure, Woodward said the intelligence chiefs made a “mistake” in briefing on the basis of the dossier, and should “apologize.”


“Intelligence insiders now claim the Trump dossier is “A COMPLETE FRAUD!” Trump wrote on his Twitter page.

Was Trump Right About His Inauguration’s Crowd Size?

Apart from the overhyped “women’s” marches, yesterday’s biggest news story seemed to be the conflict between the news media and the Trump administration over the size of the inauguration crowd. The liberal media said it was small, relying largely on this photo comparison by the New York Times of Barack Obama’s 2009 inauguration and Trump’s:

Other media happily followed suit with lowball estimates of Friday’s crowd. Two points: one, there is not, and never will be, an official estimate of crowd size for either the 2009 inauguration or last Friday’s. The National Park Service stopped doing such estimates in the 1990s. Two, the issue normally would be analyzed by looking at satellite photos, but Friday was too cloudy for such pictures. Hence the uncertainty.
The obvious question, of course, is when the Times’s photo of Trump’s inauguration was taken. Brit Hume–a far more reliable source than the New York Times–weighed in on Twitter:

Independent Journal Review has the full story. The Left’s “fact checkers,” of course, have already swung into action, proclaiming Trump wrong.
I don’t doubt that the crowd for Obama’s first inauguration was larger than the one on Friday; among other things, no one was kept away in 2009 by threats of riots. But it does seem that the Times and other press outlets have been caught, once again, trying to minimize Donald Trump’s achievements and support.

They keep coming...

Those who accuse CNN and other mainstream media outlets of “fake news” will probably revel in a recent decision by a federal judge in Atlanta, Georgia. While Judge Orinda Evans didn’t all out declare that CNN was peddling in falsehoods, she did take aim at the network in an initial judgment in favor of a former hospital CEO who sued CNN accusing them of purposely skewing statistics to reflect poorly on a West Palm Beach hospital. Judge Evans didn’t mince words in her 18-page order allowing the case to move forward, and dismissing CNN’s attempt to get it thrown out of court.
