Biden Does NOT need a BILL to close the border
He only needs a PEN. Thats all he needed to open it.
Thats all he needed to close it. Thats all Trump needed.
Maybe this is just Proof Trump is better than Biden.

You know folks however you want to slice and dice this - IT IS GREAT NEWS.

It certainly shows that GM has taken responsibility and if your read the article that they will use proceeds to continue to pay back the taxpayer.

It also indicates that the financial times have improved to the point where an IPO of this category is timely.

But by all means return to your usual mindless partisan bickering.

This is a slippery slope, if the socialist stay in power it'll be a good investment, if the repubs get power and force GM to work it could go downhill quick, hopefully the IPO comes in under $10 share, should be quick money as long a Chavez Obama doesn't put any stipulations on the purchase/sale of shares

It also indicates that the financial times have improved to the point where an IPO of this category is timely.  -  Bull crap.  All it shows is that they have cut their costs by screwing the bond holders and suppliers and dumped GMAC onto the taxpayers.  They could have done all of this without one penny of taxpayer dollars.  How many shares are us taxpayers going to get?  Oh yeah, if we want a share, we have to pay GM to get a share of what we are suppose to already own.

As I said, bull crap!

As I understand it, about 80% of the shares will only be available to institutional buyers.  Only about 20% will be available for retail buyers.  And the institutional tranche will be made available before the retail tranche.  And there will a tranche only available to foreign buyers.

As to pricing, it is a tight rope.  Price too high and it won't sell or will go down in price with a month or so and many people will lose money.

Price it too low and the government leaves a lot on the table in favor of the big institutions.

Either way, if this IPO goes out before the election, it will not be good for the Dem's.

Here are some quotes by people who likely know more about this than you or I (and particularly a dumb hack named Tommie) :

Harley Shaiken, a University of California Berkeley professor and labor relations expert:

“The fact that we are even talking about this is a milestone and was far from guaranteed…I think is an example not of an expanding government role, but the government and the private sector working together in an unprecedented way.”

Jerry Seiner, owner of Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick and GMC dealerships in Salt Lake City Utah:

“The good news is the IPO registration is another step back towards profitability and just getting on with the business of building good cars and selling them.”

Chris Haydocy, owner of Haydocy Buick, GMC store in Columbus, Ohio, and Haydocy Chevrolet, Cadillac Buick in Bucyrus, Ohio:

“We’ve heard on more than one occasion from customers that they will not buy a car from us because it is ‘Government Motors’ or ‘Obama Motors.’ That has been tough to overcome. But had that not happened, where would we be?”

Joe Ashton, UAW vice president and director of the union’s GM Department in a press release:

“Ed Whitacre took the helm of the ship in the roughest water and steered GM to safe waters.”

Instead of hiding behind some uncited quotes from a leftist professor and a union leaders that got huge gains from the bailout, why don't you man up and address my points and comments in your own words and with your own thoughts?

Or is the only original thing in your pin head name calling?

Poor timid Tommie Tiptoe got panties all twisted up and can't breath?

Personally it does my heart good to see you that way especially after you spent 8 years cheering on the loser GWB and his pathetic economic policies.

But do try and have a nice day

Twisted? Hardly.

Can't breath?  Hardly.

Cheering President Bush's economic policies?  Hardly.

Now, man up.  Instead of hiding behind some uncited quotes from a leftist professor and a union leaders that got huge gains from the bailout, why don't you man up and address my points and comments in your own words and with your own thoughts?
