That's not true, upyrwazzoo. The Constitution's Amendment XII, for example, is  proof the  Framers did not foresee the rise of political parties in the United States.

They knew if cities like New York, Boston, and Philadelphia could control the entire country, blah blah blah blah....

Both northerners and southerners owned slaves back in those days. So it would be more accurate to say it was written to satisfy disparities between rural and urban areas.

The current electoral college allows this country to have an election for POTUS decided by the states rather than a few cities.

It is the best possible system we could have.  Our founding fathers are to be applauded again for their wise look at the future.

Know why the right wingers got the most electoral votes?   Remember the word "Gerrymandering?"  That is the redistricting that is done about every 10 years to redraw the lines...based on the census.  You may hear it referred to as "The Spoils system"

The "R"s got to redraw those lines about 8 or 9 years ago... With the defeat of Hillary... Looks as if we are going to get to do it again.
