Biden Does NOT need a BILL to close the border
He only needs a PEN. Thats all he needed to open it.
Thats all he needed to close it. Thats all Trump needed.
Maybe this is just Proof Trump is better than Biden.

Delaying the vote, is just another way to make sure everyone will vote against it.

Plano City Council delays vote on homeless shelter

07:46 AM CDT on Tuesday, August 10, 2010

By MATTHEW HAAG / The Dallas Morning News

The Plano City Council voted late Monday night to postpone a vote on giving $700,000 in federal grant money to a homeless shelter to build one of the area’s largest transitional housing facilities.

Council members expressed concern about giving funds to the shelter when it doesn’t have a location secured for the facility. The Samaritan Inn of McKinney, which would run the shelter, has proposed placing it on 14th Street in East Plano, but that site requires a zoning change, which hasn’t been made.

“It’s time to hold off and let the planning and zoning commission do their work," Mayor Phil Dyer said at the meeting, which drew more than 400 people to City Hall.

The council could vote on a zoning request of the 6-acre property near the tech district next month. The council voted to table the funding decision with a 6-2 vote. Council members Lee Dunlap and Jean Callison voted against postponing the vote.

The decision followed more than an hour of sometimes fierce debate about the shelter and its proposed location. Much of it focused on the shelter’s impact on that surrounding community.

In 2005, Plano was designated the best place to live in the Western United States by CNN Money magazine. In 2006, Plano was selected as the 11th best place to live in the United States by CNN Money magazine.

Plano schools consistently score among the highest in the nation.

The racial makeup of the city was 78.26% White, 5.02% Black, 0.36% Native American, 10.18% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 3.86% from other races, and 2.28% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 10.07% of the population.

According to a 2007 estimate, the median income for a household in the city is $84,492, and the median income for a family is $101,616.[16] About 3.0% of families and 4.3% of the population live below the poverty line.

Plano was ranked the most affluent city with a population over 250,000 in the United States with the lowest poverty rate.

Its neighbor, Frisco, was ranked the richest city for the population of under 250,000 in the United States with a 2.7% poverty rate.

According to crime statistics, there were four homicides in Plano in 2006, the lowest homicide rate of all U.S. cities of 250,000 or more population.

No wonder they do not want to destroy that city with poor planning and zoning...

Why cannot the homeless get a job in Plano?   The amount of business is astounding...

Doesn't sound like a little bitty homeless shelter. Sounds more like they want to import some government sponges to the area.

Well, they could be like Seattle and just ship them out to the suburbs to live in tents...then ignore the problem some more until somebody important comes to town...

I would like to know where they shuffled all the drunks and drug addicts yesterday for the president's visit to Occidental park, one of the most frequented areas for homeless people...
