Biden Does NOT need a BILL to close the border
He only needs a PEN. Thats all he needed to open it.
Thats all he needed to close it. Thats all Trump needed.
Maybe this is just Proof Trump is better than Biden.

What did you dream?

« on: 08 18, 10, 01:17:31:AM » Reply

Why a number? Because numbers don't lie, except for statistics -- and I will not become a statistic.

Seriously, I'm one of those who dreads compromising his privacy on line. I've never visited a Myspace or Facebook page, and I'm no more likely to do so than to investigate a sewer. ~No offense intended~ to those of you who do the social networking -- it's just not for me, as I just explained.

Up front, I will reveal that I am LW. I do appreciate when conservatives say intellectually sound things, unfortunately that seems rare these days. For example there were times several years ago when George Will on the panel at This Week would defend evolution against creationists, or acknowledge something that was wrong in the Cheney administration. Since the 2008 election however, he appears to just stampede the RW herd with the rest of the talking pointy heads.

Andrew Sullivan, a British conservative who edits The Atlantic, sometimes appears on the Chris Matthews Show panel. (Not Hardball -- Matthews's broadcast-syndicated journalist-interview show. I don't have cable.) Sullivan is an assertive, no-nonsense type, happens to be gay, has been very vocal about the evil and the ineffectiveness of torture.

I have a feeling I will soon be hearing from the future members of my ignore list.

There's a guy at work I would like to ignore. He'll get jazzed up about something he heard on his headphone radio, then find one of the people who will listen, and start ranting. I can hear him 10 yards away. His pet issues are taxes, Obama communism, and culture war. (Doesn't understand that many business conservatives are rich wierdos, exploiting the "values conservatives" to hold power.) He's worked here for years, the ranting gradually got worse, he was a friend before the politics. It's been quieter recently since the kid in the cube next to me has been away on assignment.

I hope to learn a little in here, about how to deal with people like that. Maybe not -- we'll see.

I know this is very long. Focus and brevity in future posts, I promise.

Of course, if you like playing Whack-a-Moron, as I do, you're in the right place.

Interesting intro.  I'll be one of the RWs to you LW.  I try not to rant, but occasionally the holier than thou elitist attitudes of the LW simply overwhelm my capacity for reserve.

I'd much rather discuss the realities of an issue  than the dogmatic politics thereof.  Ideologies cloud our minds to  functional solutions and rational compromises

He's said he's not interested into social networking.  Someone should tell Buttryder to stop salivating over the new meat.
