I have seen so many photos of these parents passed out in their cars with little kids, or on the street, it's just sickening.  The decline of society begins when there is NO personal accountability left and we are seeing that from the top to the bottom, daily!

My son-in-law has a niece who is married to a bull rider and they have four adorable little girls under 8 years old - little steps.  It has just been discovered that he is on heroin.  Maybe his injuries from all his bull riding accidents were too much for him to bear but he had a melt down and did a lot of damage to their home.  He has been sent to rehab for 6 months and they have lost the home they were renting.  It is so sad and my daughter is thinking of taking them in but it would be very difficult for her.  Right now they are helping out financially as much as they can.

Alcohol and drugs are an ugly life partner.  Growing up, everyone in our neighborhood thought we were "rich" because my parents were always doing drywall, or putting up paneling...quite the opposite actually, my dad drank and snorted just about every dime, and when in fact, my dad, in his few lucid moments, was always fixing walls where he had either put a fist through it, pushed my mother or one of us kids through it, or overturned appliances.  Seriously, our refrigerator looked like it had been thrown off a truck.  A person high on alcohol and drugs has superhuman strength and I remember even a bathroom sink being torn off its pedestal...it's a sickness like no other and unfortunately, heroin is almost becoming a life sentence, or a death sentence.  There has been only one person I've known in my life that actually kicked heroin and the subsequent methadone cure...one.  My addiction to marijuana, cocaine, speed, and alcohol came exceptionally early in life, before age 18, and it was only by the Grace of God and my mother's love that I survived.  She was my angel on Earth.

That's why luv needs to distance herself quickly and not look back.
