1969 - After three days, the Woodstock Music and Art Fair in New York came to an end.

No children, I did not get to go to Woodstock.  I was working my ass off at two jobs that summer to get enough money to return to college for my second year.
 
I would have enjoyed swimming in the pond with the naked hippie chicks though, not to mention seeing Crosby Stills & Nash.

Woodstock was the end of the communal party.  Everyone, including musicians, wanted a piece of the American Dream in the '70's and it wasn't free.
