Getting our Passports renewed

I picked up the forms from the Post Office today and then went and got the passport photos from our local business supplies store.  Much cheaper than the Post office who want $15.00 each.  I didn't feel like driving into town to find them cheaper, as our local business charged $9.00 each which was a saving of $12.00 for two.  The fun part was getting our pictures stapled to the form in exactly the right spot.  Mine went ok and then when hubby did his he misjudged it and stapled in too far.  He ended up totally mucking up his form and pic and used up his ration of swear words for the week!  Luckily I got more than one form each and we got two photos each.  We checked and double checked the form to make sure we had everything in the right place and answered each question and then I ran to the Post Office with everything ready to go and the lady who handles passports looked it over and found a box we had both missed checking, but other than that it was ok and we will now wait for up to 6 weeks to get our new passports.  I can't believe that the past 10 years has gone by so quickly.

We need to get the enhanced driver license so hubby can take me up to see Bouchart Gardens.

You can also get a Pass Card for anyone that frequently goes back and forth across the border.  I think Washington State is one in 5 States only that issues the EDL.

Emily! You gave me giggles - your descriptive stories are why I love this board lol. I came in last night from what seemed like an 18 hr day and kicked on the board. Thanks for the smiles. Glad you and hubby got the passports fixed. What great adventures you two have.
