with lots and lots of guns and was a BIG fan of military paraphernalia!

Had some old Nazi stuff and Civil War stuff... 
Maybe he was part of a militia, in his own mind?

Of course, the mental picture most people would get from the headline above is something like the picture at right (an actual Texas lawyer, wearing the traditional dress of his people) not someone named Desai.
