I would bet that the number if upwards of 100... Mostly for the reasons that they disagreed with him. If a 2nd Lt. in the rear ranks (as I was) disagreed with LBJ, he made certain their asses ended up in Nam...It really didn't matter, if you went with him or not... You still ended up there.    Me, I bought into the whole need to pick up where the French left off in Nam... and Yes.... It happened to a lot of us.  For many of us it didn't matter as even those who agreed with him... We were too far down the line of authority or responsibility for anybody to worry about. That is NOT the facts today... If you are field or above... He knows about you and will do whatever is necessary to get you out of his hair so to speak.  Many Many good officers are forced into retirement just because the don't agree with the CIC. No!!!!! in fact, He will never declare martial law.  The American Public will never allow it.  He is NOT that dumb.

ken...although we disagree on broad political positions, I think we have many specific areas of common ground.

over the years I have especially gained insight from your vietnam experience...like this post.

OI agree and also thank Kensan for his service. He is correct that Martial Law will NOT be enacted in this country. Anyone that believes in the scams and deliberate attempts to use fear scare people into voting against Hillary are probably also the same people that fall for the internet scams promising them huge sums of money, and all they have to do is give them access to their bank accounts, or wire the small sum of $5000 to the account of a tribal prince in Nigeria.
