In fact, in most cases the states passed laws that actually limited the rights of certain groups rather than expanding and protecting them. And for that reason the federal government had to step in and force the states into compliance. First, I suppose it needs to be determined exactly who is the minority here... The LGBTQ or the former occupants  of their restrooms that used to say male or female.

An eight-year-old girl was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital following a traumatic attack in a restaurant bathroom.
Conflicting reports have been released regarding some of the details of the incident that occured at Jason’s Deli at Chicago’s South Loop. Fox32 reports the girl went into the restroom alone, but ABC7 writes that the mother was in a separate stall when the attack occurred.
What remains consistent through all reports is that the girl was allegedly targeted by the adult male suspect, who choked her into unconsciousness and tried to be alone with her in a bathroom stall.
Additionally, her mother heard her scream before she lost consciousness and attempted to save her but was shoved by the man, who was later subdued by others at the restaurant.

One issue I feel very passionately about, is the need for women to be properly armed. This world is unfortunately full of predators.

So I’ve compiled a list of the top 10 handguns (in no particular order) suitable for concealed carry for women (or the elderly). I can speak with some authority on this issue too, as my wife is a two time cancer survivor. The disease and treatments left her with a sensory peripheral neuropathy in her extremities. Essentially, that means she now has decreased strength and sensation in her hands, so this does pose some unique challenges when selecting an adequate concealed carry weapon. Especially considering that many women tend to wear tighter fitting clothing than men at times.

Please do keep in mind that it’s essential to find the right pistol that works for you. The above list is in no particular order, and is only my professional opinion based on my experiences, other women’s experiences, and my law enforcement background.

Perhaps the proper weapon for you isn’t even listed above. What works well for one woman, might not work at all for another. Look at (and shoot it if possible) as many different options before purchasing, and bear in mind that you’re making an investment in your (and possibly your children’s) safety. Any gun is always better than no gun at all, so find what works best for you within your budget. Shoot and train regularly, and carry always. Your family deserves it!

There's nothing in either article that identifies the attackers as transgendered males or that the attackers self-identify as transgendered males, But, considering the facts, that should come as no surprise.

 "There have not been any public safety issues" in cities that allow transgender people to use the bathroom of the gender they identify as.
