Not surprisingly, however, WWV10MHZ immediately responded with a silly cartoon and an even sillier post of an ignorant, and disinformed red neck (one of Trump's preferred constituents).

And, furthermore, the author of the article that supposedly reports the "dangers" to women and children needs to learn the difference between a transgendered person and a crossdresser. Every incident I read about concerned crossdressers, not transgendered persons.

And, finally, in the story about the uproar in the female locker room, the "uproar" was actually caused by the female students, not by the transgendered male. And there was no mention at all that the females in the locker room were in any danger. Right-wing opposition to HB2 (read Hate Bill 2) is based on fear and ignorance, not on fact.

Both arguments conveniently ignore the historical fact that states have a well-documented record of not protecting the rights of minorities. In fact, in most cases the states passed laws that actually limited the rights of certain groups rather than expanding and protecting them. And for that reason the federal government had to step in and force the states into compliance.
