one of the nice neighbors here in Hellsville paid for the 2 stumps to be removed from my devil stripe...out front... and low and behold yesterday the lawnmower broke down on me... so I've been out all day looking for a screw to fix it... got one after 25 miles of driving for a 35 cent screw... I tell you...

I'll somehow repaid him for that... but after I am healed from the heart ache...I'm having at this point...

I'm still focused... trust that...

That's a long way for a screw....that's sad.

I had to go to several places... first Lowes, then Home Depot, then Tractor and    ?....

took the part with me...  when I got home the hole where I lost the screw was larger than the hole it came out of...don't ask...

I did manage to start the mower up again... but I decided to cut it again in the morning...glad I didn't finish cause the stomp remover scatter chips all over the place...

I'm going to work all day outside and try to finish up all the laundry and wash the car... the backyard is done except for the edging...

so I guess I can finish that up too...will be wearing all kinds of knee pads and back braces tomorrow...

it finally got hot here in the daytime...

tonight we go back down to the 30s... but the rest of the week will be alright...

got to finish all this crap before I make the trip....I had planned to be gone Sunday night but that's off until I finish all the stuff I mentioned...

maybe in the way middle of the week..

and it's going to be hot as hell in Memphis when I arrive...I hope I can stand up to the trip and the weather there...if not.... I will go somewhere where it's air conditioned and sit and eat barbeque and/or listen to some real music somewhere...late at night...

Called the light/gas/water company and was told that I would have to have an inspector come in and inspect before they can turn anything on...

oh! oh!....

I'll be ready for whatever as long as they put it on the budget plan...they can and will....

Now that I'm a disabled vet... I will touch bases with the VFW there and see what kind of assistance they can offer...will join...

Just to get familiar with some folks there....

so these steps are focused, and careful....will be staying in Memphis long enough to finish all the jobs I'm going there to do...

when I come back to Hellsville... I will tackle the front porch... then it's on like popcorn....

Isn't that just the way.  After putting up with all the neighborhood crap and making plans to get out of there, a nice friendly neighbor comes along!

Its going to be up in the 80's here for the next 6 days.  Goodness knows what it will be in Las Vegas.  Probably 90's at least.  The trouble is that I will still have to pack a couple of jackets or cardigans as when you step into the Casinos it's like stepping inside a freezer.
