The easiest way if you are having computer problems is to buy a 4g memory stick, download them from one computer onto the stick and upload them to the other, plus you then have a record of your photos that doesn't reside on the computer, cost about 25 bucks.

I also suggest using a memory stick...you can get one for less than $10...
 
I have an external hard drive as well to save pics and documents.
 
My son has 2 memory sticks...he loads all his video making clips and music to them...well worth the money.
