When our house was built, I was so excited to have a window over the sink...then we saw the cabinet layout and realized, it's not centered...it drives me crazy, but I had to let it go.  If they had centered the sink, it would have shifted the dishwasher and I would have lost cabinet space...

The installer is here today doing the template...can't wait to get it done...

If you have a widow, it has to be centered. I would hate that if not.

Mine is centered over the window to the garden but I still wish that somehow my kitchen could have been designed better because I have a lot of wasted space in the bottom cabinets.  One of those hinged doors in the corners would have given me access to all that space.  If stuff slides back there I have to get a long fork or utensil to scrape it back out where my arms can reach.

When we moved here, we came from a 888 square feet apart...the kitchen was so narrow, hubby and I had to shimmy past each other and the fridge door nearly touched the cabinets across from them when opened.  So this kitchen was like a mansion to me.  The sink issue lasted about 5 minutes till my husband put his hands on his hips and said...you want a kitchen you can move in or stay in that sh**hole we've been raising our boys in?

I got over it quickly...
