I agree with you sweaty.  Taking the profits out of medical transactions is our future.  The government should be the single buyer and seller of medicine and the single payer for medical care in our country.

Taxpayers are paying for the drugs to Africa.   They cost the same.    It was a humanitarian gesture that saved over 5 million lives so far if not more by the Bush administration.   Obama dropped the ball by comparison.

yes they are but at a much cheaper price since the government is the sole buyer and supplier.

Wal-mart and Amazon are cheaper due to volume sales and purchases.   That is capitalism.    Larger companies can offer a savings even in the pharmaceutical business.    Government only saves when buying in quantity from large private businesses as they did with powdered milk, meat and cheese to hand out for welfare recipients.   Government is just a buyer in the free market using money from capitalists they tax/steal.

but if we do like they've done in Africa and the government becomes the sole buyer they price would be cheaper still.  Isn't that the model you have been exposing?  are you now backing up?
