Your 392,500 lives saved annually, is some ones pipe dream.  It sure can't be verified mathematically.
Even if there were that many uses of firearms for self defense there would not be 392,500 dead victims.  The good guys don't win all the gun fights.

No poll can tell how many people actually used a gun and saved a life, or what the out come would be if no gun was involved.
They used the term "it is estimated" a great deal.  Their conclusion was a number.  In my opinion it was vastly inflated.

Gun owners know if they report driving away an attacker with a firearm they are likely to be abused by the "Justice system" for daring to defend themselves!

The mere presence of an armed citizen prevents crime!
