AlterNet lied as did Politico.

Army ROTC scholarships pay tuition for your college education and you also receive a monthly stipend and money for books.

Hawks, What kind of mind can show outrage or disapproval of a lie (if you want to call it that) by Dr. Ben Carson.  And accept the lies and dishonest behavior of Hillary Clinton?

Your attitude and honest intentions would baffle a school of therapists.

Or perhaps you could explain it.

Your ignoring the facts won't make them disappear.

The Republican presidential candidate has noted in his biography that he turned down a full scholarship to the prestigious military academy. On Friday, Carson’s campaign admitted that he was never offered a scholarship.

This may take you the rest of the night...but then, its a pretty fair bet that you will not read them.

KensanIV: well [sic] Hawks, You really don't wish to count the lies...do you?  But since you blah blah blah blah blah....

KensanIV, your babbling about Hillary Clinton is a red herring. It doesn't change the fact that Ben Carson admits he lied about West Point.

KensanIV, stop wasting your time trying to defend Ben Carson. His West Point story is a BIG LIE.

Republican Ben Carson has conceded that he never connected to join the US military institute at West Point, in spite of suggestions in his book that he had. The presidential expectant wrote in his 1996 personal history, Gifted Hands, that he had been offered a full grant by the prestigious school.

Don't get your feathers all ruffled hawks.  I don't believe anyone who tells blatant lies or tries to pull the wool over anyone's eyes is a good candidate for President, but then that would of course include Hilary Clinton.  Carson has taken a dip in the polls, if you can believe all this speculation, so that should make you happy.

I don't have a problem with anyone owning up to 'misspeaking' in their enthusiasm to get on the ballot.

If they want to continue in their goals then they need to clear things up and explain.  I'm not holding my breath.

emilyB,

Your babbling about Hillary Clinton is a classic Aunt Sally. Your accusing Clinton of being a liar doesn't change the fact that Carson's a liar--a fact that even he and his campaign have conceded. Carson has been exposed as a pathological liar. Accept the truth and live with it.

Get over yourself hawks.  I guess your babble proves you can't comprehend what I said. No proven, known liar is a good candidate for President.  Get it?

You've presented a classic ad hominem (a personal attack against me), but you still haven't admitted that Ben Carson's West Point story is a lie. Have you emilyB?

If an 'ad hominem' against you is what you perceive hawks, then enjoy it.  You certainly send out enough of your own, so spare us the indignation.  I believe I used the words, "proven known liar" when referring to the candidates we were discussing.  What more do you want?  Ben or Hilary - both candidates have told a few whoppers, but only one matters in your mind.  I guess we are at an impasse and it doesn't bother me.
